A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind and water. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the warmer south, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless cannibalistic bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a rusting shopping cart of scavenged food--and each other.
Director: John Hillcoat Actors: Charlize Theron, Garret Dillahunt, Guy Pearce, Molly Parker, Robert Duvall y Viggo Mortensen Origin: USA
According to our faith, we believe there will be times like this some day soon! it's comforting to see some one in this movie who cares for another human being during the worst of times--especially a child. Great movie! I ask all to trust in the Holy Bible.
My old mentor who was ex-special forces
in Korea and spent 9.5 months in a tiger cage once said to me, "You would be surprised what people will do to survive".
The movie while disturbing in some scenes,
generally may not be far off from the truth. Look at the movie "Alive", where the rugby team resorted to canibilism sad to say.
Movie's kind've weird. Makes you think of the hardships and realities of survival in desperate times but, I never did figure out what happened to cause it.
One minute they're a normal family, next minute everything is burning and everyone's trying to survive the devastation. A better explanation would've helped the story better.
Thanks JOJO for creating this site and trying to smooth the kinks out for our entertainment. It's appreciated.
